Gilda was actually Dash’s friend at some point, while Lightning Dust was only interested in her for her athletic capabilities. Gilda was actively hostile to people other than Dash, while Dust simply had a lack of empathy for anyone, including Dash.
I think that Gilda was more hostile, while Lightning Dust was more of an outright danger. Gilda actually cared about someone else, Dust did not.

That emotion must be friendship. It’s the only one that’d make Gilda feel so disgusted with herself.
One Gilda is done losing to Trixie, she needs to fight Lightning Dust for the position of Dash’s rival.
Speaking of which, I’d like to conduct a poll here: Who’s worse, Lightning or Gilda? They’re both basically Rainbow Dash without her positive aspects, so who do you consider worse?
Romantic or not, Gilda couldn’t handle seeing anyone else spend time with Dash. I think that she’d rip Dust in half for hurting Dash’s wing.
