If something is a reoccurring problem, of course it’s going to keep being mentioned in the year it still happens. To assume otherwise is the height of illogical thinking.
There are still more then plenty reasons her character is disliked, so the side of the fandom that diehard defend her just can’t accept that and make posts like this one.

The only time the background ponies were dicks was in “Fame and Misfortune.” The Mane Six, however, were major dicks in the first couple of seasons and continue to be dicks to this day.
I swear to God, it’s fucking tiresome that they think she’s the problem of the show because of her character, or because she’s like Chloe Carmichael.
