I guess this just leaves the question of: Can a bug zapper be charged with regicide under the authority of HRM Princess Celestia in this instance, given the hypnotic effect the bright light has on certain kinds of bugs? Or would the owner of the house with this bug zapper installed be charged instead? Is there an involuntary manslaughter equivalent for the death of a royal? Or would the homeowner be charged with regicide even if it was not their intent to kill a royal changeling with the bug zapper?
