So I’ll just leave it as this, when we try and inject aspects of our world into fantasy surrounded storytelling we idiotically miss the point of fantasy and assume our societal realities are at all compatible with a completely fictional world.
The problem you have with this sounds more like a reaction to the fact that a real medical disorder is being used as a joke, and not so much the suggestion I gave that an H should in fact be added to this discussion.
Also understand that when I say that I’m using it really lightly since I don’t think this image is really trying to be serious either - I’m not a doctor or a psychologist, I don’t know if we can actually truly diagnose these two characters with these disorders. Basically I was just saying that, if you were going to make a remark or observation on Pinkie, it would be more fair to suggest she’s more ADHD than ADD. I don’t see a problem with that, not if you were already going in that direction.
ADD is a type of ADHD that leans closer towards the person just having attention and focus problems. Frankly you could argue this one is probably more abused and over-diagnosed than symptoms of hyper-activity, because that sure sounds like a basic depression problem too.
Hell depression is heavily preyed upon by psychiatrists and the pharmaceutical industry as well because there are many people out there I’m sure who just need a little time and maybe some counseling instead of a dangerous pill. But anyway like I was saying…. I don’t think this image really calls for a conversation that serious and real-world-ish.
It amazes me how people are always ready to add an “H” to this abbreviation. Yeah I know it’s fictional but it’s still disturbing. In the greater real world context this is incredibly morbid.
More than likely by 2025 we’ll have almost an entire generation of kids that were drugged up simply because nobody knew how to help them get out there energy.

I think it’s absolutely plausible that she’s hyperactive, being hyperactive doesn’t mean you have a mental disorder that requires medication.
