Really wish the term “Millennials” was adherent to the cultural ideal and people born after 1994 (anyone starting school in 2000 and up).
I was born in the late 80’s and I, along with a majority of people 28-years-old to 30’s (a few exceptions), have much more in common with Gen X. We’re probably those “Millennials” complaining about Millennials.
I stark contrasts in schools and expectations from when I was in elementary school to when my cousins 5-8 years younger did. I must’ve sounded like an old man, just starting high school age and complaining about the homework kids got.
Any time you see someone complaining about “millennials” there’s a high chance that person is a boomer.
Actually, most of the time when you see someone complaining about “millennials” it’s ironically actual millennials who are complaining. There’s a big misconception that millennials were born after the millennium when in fact they were born in the 80’s (the name comes from them reaching adulthood after the millennium and is a replacement for the earlier title “Generation Y”).

“boomer” is short for “baby boomer” which refers to Americans born during the post-WW2 “baby boom.” Baby boomers mostly grew up in relative comfort in a world where employment and success were a simple matter of putting forth the effort to try, a world where jobs performing manual labor were plentiful and easy to obtain. Today they are old enough to be out of touch with what the modern conditions of employment and success are, still believing it’s as simple as it was in their day, and are infamous for their sense of entitlement. They have never even been close to the poverty line and have no grasp whatsoever of what it’s like to be poor. Any time you see someone complaining about “millennials” there’s a high chance that person is a boomer.
“ok boomer” is a recent meme of responding to statements with the implication that the person you are responding to is from the baby boomer generation. Sometimes it’s literal, but most often it is ironic as it is frequently used to respond to people who clearly aren’t baby boomers but are in some way either “party poopers” or simply displaying ignorance of some topic (whether or not the subject is something one could reasonably expect most everyone to have knowledge of seems to be irrelevant, though the implication is always that it is.)

Why is everyone so sensitive these days? This is just a simple comic making the same kind of joke comics have been making for decades.
I want to explain more about this but, I can’t yet.
