Aside from The Dumb Discord Twist, the finale (two parter and conclusion) was pretty good. I honestly don’t know what people are bitching about and I don’t think you do either. There was no BS redemptions for one thing.

She didn’t do anything wrong in Season 8. She was too young to understand that stealing magic is considered to be wrong, but Celestia decided to torture her by sending her to Hell rather than explaining why what she did wasn’t good in a nice and loving way.

For Cozy Glow, being herself meant being the finale villain. You’d have to make excuses for all her actions in the season 8 finale. So she received a finale-villain-tier punishment.

And it actually kinda makes sense. That is why celebrity or wealthy children in real life often grow up to be drug addicts or criminals.

So, this is a cool threatening catchphrase, and by itself it suits Cozy well enough. But if anybody’s trying to imply that Cozy Glow is a child messed up from pony society, they’re going to have to try and explain why she is the only pony child to ever be this messed up, by far. You won’t be able to provide an hour-plus or even a minute-plus of video from the show itself to explain it. You’re going to have to recreate the whole damn show with ‘actually it’s a sad dark nihilist story’ or some bullshit like that. Or we can just say that Cozy’s writers didn’t give a shit about why she is the way she is, at all. And yes I’m still disappointed in zero canon explanation about everything to do with Cozy Glow.

Well, that’s usually how it goes. That’s why we never got a Diamond Tiara or Silver Spoon episode after Crusaders of the Lost Mark. The whiters proposed ideas for some, but the Hasbro exects shot them down saying that their stories were done.
