Well, both second and third films are technically sequels to the first film. And there’s truly a debate wether the first film was set in the future or not. But we possibly know that SpongeBob having 374 consecutive employee of the month awards is possibly a continuity error.

Well it’s called “Sponge on the Run.” You could also called it “The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie 3.” This movie was postponed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I hope this movie would be released in select theaters and in home on demand next year in early 2021. But this movie still counts as a 2020 movie.
No way in hell it’d be G5! Think about it, G4 was the real reason Hasbro made it this far! Starting a new generation MLP series as movie first will be a box office bomb.
I’d want want it to be a stand alone to the first movie and takes place between the final episodes of the G4 series, plus I looked up on Wikipedia, it doesn’t say Untitled My Little Pony reboot, or on IMDB.
I want it to have the G4 Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity and Spike in CGI.

The CGI movie is a prequel to a 2D series. That’s what Hasbro wants to do, go figure!
