I had the chance to ask showrunner Jim Miller at one of the conventions if he recognized the two pegasi and knew who they were. He said “I know them as Background Pair #4 or something like that” and he didn’t know them by name. So ultimately, Cloudchaser and Flitter disappearing is due to turnover in the show staff with the current crew not knowing who they are.
Jim Miller’s been on the show since the beginning. 2. It was established very early on that more often than not background ponies weren’t named on their model sheets and their names came later.

Maybe her parents are actually crapheads, and the side you see of them in the show isn’t the only part. Why the heck does Rarity practically raise her little sister herself anyway? From what I can tell, her parents are either like Suburban upper-middle class people, or they’re in retirement, but I’m leaning towards the former. Either way, they seem to be traveling and dumping Sweetie Belle at Rarity’s place more than they’re ever home. I don’t see why they aren’t interested in their kids’ lives more.
Maybe I’m biased because I had terrible parents, but I despise bad parents. If you’re gonna have children, you owe it to them to be there for them and do everything you can to help them be successful and happy.
It’s sad that Rarity finds alcohol a more important part of her life than her parents.
Spur and Biscuit are unfortunately CMC-specific and don’t qualify for any of these character-centric panoramas (except maybe Fluttershy’s due to the animal connection.) Babs Seed, who otherwise has the same status, is an Apple and thus qualifies for Applejack’s panorama.
@Tirimsil
I guess Spur and Biscuit weren’t either, then. Nor were Rarity’s parents. Though on the other hand, Berry Punch is here. Why, exactly? Is she a stand-in for Fleur-de-Lis? Notice who she’s next to…
Well, if you two hadn’t been so busy with that whole ragtag Pegacest Lives Matter streetgang of yours, maybe somepony would have ed to at least include one of you.
@Prince R.
season 4 i think. i havent been keeping up with the show either ever since I bought my kodiak so ive been on the road a lot. only recently have i been binge watching it and made it through season 7.
Like I said on the last usage of this meme: FiM has literally thousands upon thousands of characters. It’s not possible to give equal attention to all of them. If we did, by the time they all got their due we’d all be dead. Much like The Simpsons will still be going long after we all away.

Umm, magical growth spur? My theory is that, since Twilight is related to the Elements of Harmony, she is able to have a flowing mane. I also believe that the Elements of Harmony caused the two sisters to have a flowing mane too, since they were connected to it once.
Will or were?

Cloudchaser and Flitter, despite being absolutely precious, were never important or consequential.

Ah.
Season 3 finale.
I haven’t kept up with the show since… when did Twilight get wings again?

How did she get it, anyway?
