The one with the feathered helmet is part of the Bersaglieri regiment, and the other? I’m not sure, the pith helmet seems to be that she is either fighting in Africa, or being redeployed to Europe.
The reason why the other mare is crying, is because I think she’s ing Caporetto, the biggest defeat in Italian history. Perhaps she fought there, and is ing her fallen comrades?
