OP, you got the every character except Pinkie’s VA wrong. The blue one is voicing Rainbow Dash, the Green one’s voicing Rarity and the yellow one is voicing Apple Jack.
I think this picture mixed up Rainbow Dash’s and Applejack’s characters. Rainbow Dash’s VA is the one with the blonde hair, and Applejack’s VA has the orange hair.
@Background Pony
I think it’s because the original Visual Novel it’s based on was slightly more risque than the resulting anime? Or maybe it’s just a “girly” sounding buzzword, I dunno. @Background Pony
I dunno… I think they’re giving Rarity to their “Fluttershy” and Applejack to their “Pinkie Pie” (If that makes any sense and/or is correct in any way)? And Pinkie Pie goes to their “Twilight”, you know, because Twilight is the MC and yet the complete opposite of how Magical Girl MCs are supposed to be (“I’m clumsy and stupid and always late for class with breakfast still in my mouth as I run to school” vs “I’m a nerdy, perfectionist intellectual whose attendance is so perfect I’m going out of my way to go study on a holiday”).
Also, I wonder if the “fifth girl” of that show is gonna get a part as one of the mane six… because the only two left for the “scantily clad villainess” to play are Fluttershy and Twilight…
…You know what, ignore this post, I’m just trolling.
Milky Holmes is about the 4 descendants of famous detectives (Holmes, Nero, Poirot and Grey) that have super powers and fight thieves that also have super powers. Just Google it and find out what it’s about.
@tomoe I just google-translated it, aaand…I agree I guess.
Lots of moe blob animes, without any real characterization, good writing or any true effort put into them.
Lots of greedy bastards making money out of candy-covered crap in the anime industry today.
@Yorec
It’s not technically based on Sherlock Holmes but on a plethora of detective series including Holmes. The girls are descendants of famous literary detectives, the pink outfitted one being descended from Holmes.
And as DVD posted before, the series is actually no where near a shojou, it’s a comedy anime that parodies the magical girl genre and it’s surprisingly good.
I love that show. And it’s not really ‘about’ Sherlock Holmes or even a real shoujo show. It’s kind of a spectacular, bastardization of what a magical girl/shoujo show is. It’s a total parody, basically.
Pinkie Pie

More samples of their dialogue
“Tokui Sora” as AppleJack
“Sasaki Mirai” as Rarity
“Kitta Izumi” as Raibow Dash
Who will act Twilight and Fluttershy?
Hmmmm! I am so looking foward to watching it on this spring.
atleast I think that’s how it is

もう日本のアニメは糞な萌アニメしかないから世界のカートゥーンアニメのほうが質もクオリティも上だよ
Yeah, that’d be one hell of a coincidence, otherwise…
Well, they are wearing sherlock holmes style hats.
Apparently they are detectives who face off against master thieves and whatnot.
