@I Literally Dont Care What You Want
Heh, when I write stories (which is most of the time) I run with having pegasi and earth ponies getting their own tricks. Stuff that doesn’t rely on unicorns doing their thing.
It’s nice to see others working on such ideas.
I think that’s a common thing. I made my main character in Sparse an alchemist for a similar reason. Her name is Blucini the cat.

I think it’s great when people start giving interesting magic to non-unicorns. Without knowing much more, and with only his smile to go on, I like this happy guy.

I hate this OC’s design and I also say feature it! The animation is top tier! Ostinlein has blessed the entire site with this!
Rude to the OC’s owner? Eh, probably, but, my take on it ticking literally every single box of an over designed edgelord OC trope is still a subjective opinion. We’re all allowed them. You’re allowed to call my OC vanilla and boring too!
…but vanilla will be a popular flavor centuries from now and you can do a lot with it.
I’m not going to reply to everyone but I hate how everyone is piling on this OC. Come on, guys!
Artificial wings make me think of General Zoi’s ponymaker, and to me are a mark of poor OC design. At least these ones aren’t taken directly from the maker.
Heh, exactly why I didn’t like Tempest’s design. That broken horn and scar just screamed “edgy ponymaker OC”. Her voice actor knocked it out of the park, but to this day I can’t get over how her character design used such blatant tropes when they were rooted in such a weak backstory.
@Cinderheart
Rainbow Dash had artificial wings, that?
Well, one artificial wing, although if you think about it, the purpose of her design was to instill the idea “this future is gritty and bad”. She was supposed to look outrageous. Even then, there’s a measurable difference between a replaced limb and “optional equipment”. A good test of OC design is to put them together in groups. If you get a result like the Mane Six, you’ve done well. If the character would contribute to the appearance of a supervillain convention, it needs tweaking.

And that Ponymaker is a blessing to the entire community.

Pinkie Pie has a potion for that!

Also, RDs wing looked like a wing made out of metal. It was crude, not superrobotic.

Yes, I second this.
I demand it

It’s the law or something.
That ponymaker is trash, and was used because there was literally nothing else. PonyTown is much better now.
