No, I’m serious. This is part of what makes the show stand above the crowd of cartoon shows over the years. Carving into the depths of pain and making the characters so relatable. (Though I do really enjoy watching sad, hurting ponies cry.)
You have a point, the show can’t just be happy, and funny all the time. I kinda enjoy the sad parts too, and it’s gratifying when the characters become happy again.
