Like I said this is not easy to do on low budget. I doubt hasbro pretty a lot of money into this as it is just for YouTube where the only money return will be from ads.
Granted the Equestria girls shorts went to YouTube as well but stay also has toy sales to get money from also animated in flash

Yeah, I’m not saying it’s perfect, one criticism is the characters’ faces aren’t as expressive as other CGI or 2D animations. I’ve seen fan-animations with better expressions.

CGI does require a lot of time and money to get done properly. People don’t seem to understand that.
The animation in this definitely is not bad but you can tell they’re cutting corners

Honestly, all joking aside, the CGI animation for these “Hello Pinkie Pie” bits isn’t bad. I’ve seen much worse. (Ever seen the original Donkey Kong Country ’90s cartoon?)
