Pretty much, though mostly because of the bullcrap rules Spike keeps enforcing on her.
Oddly enough, she already had leadership skill before becoming a Princess and it probably would have worked out if that freaking dragon didn’t come in with his “Got to keep your distance from commoners” philosophy and pretty much guilted her into finding a loop hole around it.

Well, the special ends with everyone facing the audience and singing to them about how they are princesses now, too. So yes, guys could. Just got to watch the ending to Princess Promenade. I know from experience.
I wouldn’t recommend it though, I’m currently residing over the men’s restroom in the back of the local library.
