I think you’re avoiding the point to the best of your abilities. And you’re leaving out a good deal of context with your quote, like how it’s a derogatory term, or that it’s now vague enough to apply to anyone that likes anyone base on the line you literally quoted. Simply put, this isn’t simping in the context you’re trying to use it as, just a friend with a crush that she respects enough to not try to ruin things for just so she can have what she wants.

Exactly right. Starlight realized she lost and stopped trying to mess things up for Spike and Lily because she loves and respects Spike. She also seemed to gain some respect for Lily the more she talked to her.
Who knows what will happen in the future. Maybe Spike and Starlight will be an item again. Only time will tell. :)

I truly dislike the term “simp” and people are misuing it! It’s a term that came up out of nowhere and is now the popular thing to label everyone and everything with, even when it simply isn’t true.
Besides, what ever happened to people respecting and loving one another, and helping them not for some gain, but because they respect and love them? This series is all about love and goodness. I would never view any of these characters as a ‘simp.’
