I agree with you. I know they are upset seeing their Tumblr “notes” fall off a cliff though. Used to get 200 some notes for an episode, now barely pulling in 100. :( It’s not their work, people are just moving away from MLP. I think this is their best work now and it’s unfair to see that viewership drop.

I think that its a combination of that, and some people getting triggered by the slapstick. There were some mid-level freakouts at the pranking arc.
Hopefully the artist is taking it all in stride, because this is far and away the best “mature” pony work (and I mean actually mature, not just dirty) I’ve encountered.
Even people of boredom wouldn’t just randomly go around downvoting stuff, that doesn’t cure any boredom (like time wasted trolling might). If I had to guess it seems to be related to Lily and Spike shipping.
I’m surprised there’s not a ship tag for them yet, there’s at least a few dozen images of them.
