The arc that had the most impact on me was the Popeye/Rime of the Ancient Mariner mashup. Pretty brilliant!
Unfortunately as I recall, he put the sporadic Elf Life updates on hold to start a pro-Republican comicstrip during the Dubya istration. Since I was in it for the EL, that’s about when I moved on and most of the Interwebs seems to have forgotten the comic’s existence. I understand there were some reboots involved too, but that was long after I’d given up on it.
@ABrony I see what you did there, and it just makes me sad all over again that the author still has not managed to get his life together enough to restore the series to its rightful place (I saw about three new pages a few years ago, with Airek and Leucothea and “snail mail”, and then it stopped again). That comic was awesome, even the prose-only sections when he couldn’t draw.

It would be weird if he was only in her head. We haven’t seen him with anyone else but Starlight and always when she is alone.
