Do you even consider to learn that most of Hasbro’s films are trashed by critics? Heck, MLP 2017 is one of them despite being faithful to the source material by NOT being a live action movie and based on a beloved property. Which that would have saved Hasbro from being a punching bag, but no.

I only say that because G4 probably was gonna end either way. Doubt they would’ve made a sequel even if it was a success, because like @Smitty1991 said, 2D is dead in film.

The film underperformed due to interest in 2D animation being dead. And what do you mean the viewership declined over the past six or seven seasons? That’s the first I’m hearing about this. Regardless, of course ratings are going to plummet when the network does nothing but reair the same promo for weeks on end.

Well it’s not like the film adaptation underperformed at the box office and the series viewership declined for six to seven seasons in a row.
Season 2 episode 14- The Last Round Up (Derpy’s new voice and name): Obviously, that’s understandable.

Season 2 episode 26- A Canterlot Wedding Pt.2 (Celestia’s defeated): Well, celestia isn’t as powerful and it would be a short episode if she was.
Season 3 episode 13- Magical Mystery Cure (Twilight’s Ascension): See 1
Season 4 episode 9- Pinkie Apple Pie (ARE PINKIE PIE AND APPLEJACK RELATED OR WHAT?!): Idk.
Season 4 episode 14- Filli Vanilli (Pinkie scaring Fluttershy): See 1
Season 4 episode 26- Twilight’s Kingdom Pt.2 (RIP Golden Oaks Library): See 1

Technically all fandoms are. The quiet normal ones get ignored, and the ones that think they have the biggest d***s in the world shout out their opinions, and anyone who doesn’t agree is wrong. Same with all fandoms sadly.
