I like the idea that that’s what happened with King Sombra and the Alicorn Amulet. Non-alicorns screwing around with alicorn power and it just takes its toll on them over time and drives them evil :D

I guess it’s a good thing then just like Rarity, Pinkie Pie doesn’t really have malicious intent with her corrupting magical artifact. They do what they always do but up to eleven. :P

That’s my point though. If it makes you go mad with power than it’s an Alicorn Amulet / Inspiration Manifestation book scenario. I’m not saying the villains aren’t evil without it, but it’s an interesting alternate interpretation that they were reforming and changing for the better and then the bell corrupted them back into evilness :P

I mean she did just get the powers to make chocolate rain, giant cupcakes, and literally all the best sweets and party favors in the world. Of course she was mad with powers. All she wanted to do with chaos magic was exactly what she always does, throw parties and have fun. She’s not that corrupted. :P

Lol yeah. Though, it makes you wonder: the bell seemed to corrupt her and she more or less turned evil until they took it from her. Either that’s her true nature, or perhaps the Legion of Doom was corrupted by the bell and that wasn’t actually their true nature :P

Maybe? Just like Badum said, it’s probably not a species but a trait some creatures are born with super rarely. Maybe Cheese Sandwich is another gifted one?

I forgot Pinkie Pie had her own magic flow into her. She really is a creature of mysteries. XD
When she got hold of chaos magic she did use it pretty naturally, certainly better than Cozy Glow. I think the writers behind the show did indeed fully intend for her to have the same power as Discord. It canonically explains her cartoonish nature to be honest. :P

My theory has always been that a spirit of chaos isn’t a species but more like a random trait very few creatures are born with, and it’s super rare, and that both Pinkie Pie and Discord are spirits of chaos. Discord’s just so much more powerful because his species lives so long that he’s had millennia to master his powers while Pinkie’s only been around a little while and only accidentally does chaos magic without actually thinking of it. And Discord refers to himself as “the” spirit of chaos because he’s so arrogant and powerful. It’s canon that Pinkie Pie had powers no other earth pony has, after all :D

I can think of many Pokemon that would be awesome/cute as ponies. Lanturn, Mawile, Riolu, Rotom, Audino, Reuniclus. A Lapras pony can give you ride on its back, and a Vaporeon can do thing that copypasta says it does. :D

Secondly, that’s not Tantabus nor the Pony of Shadows; that’s just Twilight’s shadow brought to life by a Somnambulan curse (after she said that Somnambulan curses didn’t exist).
