This is true. Honestly, I don’t think we will know for sure until either 1) it is shown to be true in the trailer or 2) we get to see it in the film.
Obviously if the trailer doesn’t get released, then the Starscout family will almost certainly be listed out in the film. However, I do see one trailer being released a month before the release of the film on Netflix, and it is still possible that we could get to see the full Starscout family there.
Also, side question: why are people so interested in Sunny’s family, and not Pipp’s or Izzy’s family? I think we have seen a bit of Pipp’s and Zipp’s mother in various images (as the is the Queen of the Pegasi), though if I am not mistaken we haven’t seen neither head nor tail of either Pipp’s and Zipp’s father, or either of Izzy’s parents. Honestly, I am quite curious as to why we haven’t seen any family for Izzy, as with the other three ponies we have seen at least one parent. Granted, there is also Hitch, who seemingly also has no family.

So I get why you’re thinking since I’m the one who posted this Pic of Phyllis and Argyle but I wouldn’t say we know for sure, there’s just not enough information available to either confirm or debunk that idea

See in the background of this toy art (the first look we got of some of the characters, like Queen Haven) that she is standing right next to Argyle, who we know to be Sunny’s dad for sure.
