The first two and the last one I understand. But Cadence being like Legolas? Zecora being like Boromir? Trixie being like Gimli? That makes about as much sense as a Renegade Dalek Quidditch team.  
(Not to mention that Aragorn did not spend a millennium hanging out with Tilion, nor does Sauruman change shape. Colors maybe, but not shape.)

If you make the races relative…
 
Alicorns=Wizards  
Unicorns=Elves  
Pegasi=Men  
Earth=Dwarfs
 
Applejack is Gimli. Cadence is Gladriel (Maybe she was unicorn once. That or my rule’s more of a guideline.)
 
Therefore Rarity=Legolas, and has a rivalry with AJ.
 
See? Things now fall into shape a little better.
