Frying brains is a legitimate fear, but it’s been twisted over the time since Twilight and her friends. The original fear would’ve been mind control, which happened probably more often than other magic techniques. Twilight would also consistently try to alter one’s behavior. Sombra enslaved villages. And Starlight had the ability where Twilight did not.
We should stop treating Rarity like some fragile little lady who needs protection. She is very much capable of fighting as well, which is why she would learn magic blast. That doesn’t prove anything about Sprout though. It’s not like Rarity has actually fried someone’s brain before.

That’s the thing. I like think Twilight and Starlight are skilled and powerful with their magic for having multiple spells and abilities but Rarity is just as skilled and powerful but focus on one ability (levitation/telekinesis), even sures Twilight and Starlight on that same ability.
