Image is tagged as windows 95 when the window has the windows 2000/me titlebar gradient (I can’t if 98 has is but I know it’s a flat colour in 95)
The flat color was the default yes, but you’d be surprised how customizable 95-98 was. It was awesome, you could change the color and font on everything really easily, even change the main icons to custom ones. I recall gradients being an option.

I mean to be fair, have you ever tried uninstalling version 1.0 of Myth II: Soulblighter? Really ruins one’s weekend.
My sister once ed the waterfall screensaver (yes, that one) on the computer we shared (much to my angry disapproval).
And after that she continued to one thing after another when she yelled while pointed at the screen of a window pop-up stating:
Porn has been detected on your computer. Click here to [insert bull$yay] to remove it and restore your files.
Mind, the pop-up wasn’t even on a website; it just appeared on the Desktop over everything else. She believed it.
I said, “That… that’s not how it works, how would it know?”
That computer did not last long after, even after my dad paid like $150 for some stupid version of Norton which I tried to tell him would not work. But that was the “I told you so” required for my sister to learn her lesson.
Luckily, I had files important to me on a number of USB sticks (no not porn) and the bulk of my favored songs on a spread of CDs. I got my dad’s old laptop for Christmas that year, but losing the only access I had to Photoshop set back my exploration of art by 7-8 years, and it effectively ended my computer gaming days.

Quick, see if Neightoven’s 10th symphony is still safe!
It sure would be a shame if we lost that file, the only known copy.
Something that functions similarly to the OrbiTouch would work better.
