*Toughness:AM is not weak against Kryptonite, Magic, anything with a blade [wonder woman], or fire [martian manhunter], and lives in the 8 ton by square inch pressure at the bottom of the ocean likes it nothing [or like having 60 fighter jets weighing you down] SO youd have to be either superhuman or hit like Superman to damage AM
*Actually AM really is hydrophobic [fear of water] since he was a kid, much like Supes is acrophobic [fear of heights] and Batman is chirophobic [fear of bats]

Detailed syntax guide

Ok what the heck is all this talk of Aquaman being afraid of water?

The only time I seen that is when he was minded controlled to be afraid of water in “Tower of Babel”!

Obviously Aquaman is in no danger of being eaten. He’s just taking his time deciding which method of escape would be the most badass.
Also, one time, Aquaman lost an arm. He subsequently replaced it with A MOTHERFUCKING SPEARGUN!

somepony hasnt played Injustice
I read one story where Aquaman was able to control the Kraken. Also Brave and the Bold Aquaman can control microscopic organisms in people’s blood streams. That’s kind of scary when you think about it.
@Background Pony
Its mentioned alot in Superman origin stories and its also a line in ‘Superman’ by Five for Fighting referenced by the “I cant stand to fly…” line

Also ive always read it as hyrdophobic as opposed to aquaphobic, but rabies or not “Fear of Water” is still “Fear of Water”

Vore fanart doesn’t validate anything, if it did…well…then fuck everything…
@Background Pony

I still don’t get the point with this, it also said Supes is acrophobic, freaking Superman! And in case you missed the previous comment, Aquaman can control all sea dwelling eldritch abominations.
@Gentle Coltte of Leisure

Yeah but unlike aquaman bats are not his “element”.
They serve as his “theme” instead.

Also it’s kinda logical that a person that becomes a hero MIGHT pick something scary as his “theme”.

Bruce saw bats as scary so his hero “alter ego” is bat themed.
Can’t Aquaman also talk to Cthulhu?
… Yeeeeah, Not gunna make fun of the one potential person fish thing that can convince an elder god to not make everyone go insane.
@Sonlirain
Batman is afraid of bats.
But… I like them both :(

No wait, I found it; he becomes aquaphobic (not hydrophobic, that’s a chemical term and the name of a videogame title, not an actual fear) because the Scarecrow uses a fear-toxin to make him so once.

“Aquaman is a hydrophobe…”
(looks up hydrophobia)
AQUAMAN HAS RABIES!?!?
Wait wait WHAT?
Aquaman is a hydrophobe?
How does this hero even work?

It’s like Applejack being afraid of apples.
Flash being afraid of high speed.
Batman being afraid of the dark.

No wonder everyone makes fun of him.
Oh and Nappa killed his whales.
