Funnily enough theirs a pony episode in the old series that does this. Characther is a princess so she has to do royal duties, gets sick of it so she makes EVERYONE a princess so that everything goes back to normal

Syndro was one of the Disney/Pixar villains I felt sympathy for. Well, for a while up to a certain point in the film.
Maybe it’s the fact he had a sort of… Bruce Wayne or Tony Stark vibe in his approach to superpowers? They didn’t have superpowers on their own, so they made their own or supplemented their natural abilities based on the hero in question.
