That’s more like humbleness.
And Envy is not mere comparisson, traditional envy is an actual resentment of people’s success with an actual desire to harm or lower them down, regardless if it is in an active or ive-aggressive way.
The idea of envy is that the person feels someone else gained something with no warrant.
If you put 2+2, envy doesn’t fit Twilight at all since she lacks both the desire to harm AND the resentment (not even in a subcoscious manner) that usually follows said feeling. She’s not really searching for things others desire or have under normal circumstances, and the few things that actually brings resentment in her is when she feels others are harming her first, which then is much closer to wrath and not envy.
Trixie is the only one consistently bringing that trait into Twilight (Discord did it once in one episode but since it doesn’t necessarily happens again it feels more like an isolated case) and even then it was about only twice and greatly because she doesn’t trust Trixie which to be fair, is not a completely unfounded belief.

Twilight: Jealousy, overly protective, always comparing herself to others, never thinking she has enough (power, love, dedication, prestige). Even she she’s clearly qualified, she continued to believe she always needed more.
Season 4 paid homage to this with her being a new Princess and always overshadowed by the other 3 Princesses. She felt that she always needed the Elements in physical manifestation. In her idolization of Starswirl, she didn’t feel like having as much prestige, learning, power, or influence like he did. When she opened the School of Friendship, she was concerned doing things someone else’s way, believing in their word and success. Then she had the [humorous] audacity to make an even bigger book of guidelines.
That was the biggest difference between Twilight and Starlight. While Twilight always externalized her problems and drew a figurative box around those who already were, Starlight internalized and sought solutions believing in change, improvement, and herself.
.
@Background Pony #A1AF Inspiration Manifestation showed that, but lust overall the main, core idea, wanting for herself, and the marshmallow drama queen she is.
Unless it was maybe book related, Twilight doesn’t have lust (least of which was power) so much as envy, due to how she always looked at what everyone else had.
@Chopsticks
I never got why Twilight is envy. Outside of the time she was possesive with Shining which wasn’t even that since an actual shapeshifter was brainwashing him or two Starlight Trixie incidents Twilight neither fulfills the “classic meaning” (not interested in harm others) and her jealous moments are pretty far in between and not precisely as damaging as a lot of other characters.

you have to that these sins mean more than what we think after lust can be a lust for power.
Sloth matches RD more
Lust is obviously a Rarity thing
I can see Twilight with Envy (a lot)
