Any story with Twilight as old man failure Luke Skywalker is just wrong. She suppose to be more like Celestia. If anything Discord would be more edgy and depressed after Fluttershy is gone. Twilight will always be ed by family like Cadence and Flurry Heart or Spike.
Honestly I can kind of understand. Negatives are more fun to think about than positives. Why else would we be more attracted toward the villains than the heroes?

Yes, and it’s always the G4 purists that seems to the theory from what I’ve seen and seem to claim how it’s more accurate to Twilight’s character than what G5 did…Twilight in reality would be the opposite.

It was a fan theory that depicted Twilight being some kind of old hermit and had her be in the Disney Luke Skywalker route, hopeless and not so kind. She sealed the magic in the stop Opaline. A lot of people see this being out of character for her, much like how Luke was depicted in the The Last Jedi.
