I think I know what the “mayonnaise” part is referencing in the words that Unicorns consider to be jinxie: “Magic”, “wing”, “feather”. “mayonnaise”.
Back in 2006 the “Robot Chicken” show’s episode came out, with the scene where they say the following: “If you polish a unicorn horn long enough, it gives you magical unicorn mayonnaise.”
(That even inspired bronies to create a tag on derpibooru with the term “magical unicorn mayonnaise”, back in 2013.)
This really doesn’t look like a coincidence… I think the writers of the movie made the clear reference to that, which only adults would understand. XD
Well, “Bridlewoodstock” showed that some of the unicorns were still superstitious, so it’s reasonable to believe that some of them would still consider mayonnaise to be unlucky.
