In preparation for the annual Science Fair, Twilight is demonstrating her latest invention to Principal Celestia. A Portal Gun capable of creating portals to anywhere. As Celestia observes, Twilight is able to create a stable portal. And while congratulations are in order, Twilight and Celestia quickly realize that something isn’t quite right.

And it’s not long before something arrives from within the portal. Something that will spell doom for the Human World…

Twilight: “But seriously Sunset, do you really believe I’m that irresponsible with portals?”

Sunset: “I don’t only believe that. I KNOW that. What about the time you let those monster plants loose during the Friendship games?”

Twilight: “Hey, that was beyond my control. Besides…” *Grabs the Portal Gun* “I’ve worked out the bugs on this thing. Watch!”

Sunset: “Twilight! Wait!” *Twilight opens a portal and Thorax flies out and tumbles on the floor* “No bugs, huh?”

Twilight: “Shut up…”

Thorax: “What just happened?”

So yeah, this is a vector comic I brainstormed last week and worked on during the weekend. So far Twilight’s portal antics had been lighthearted fun and just random memes. This time we get to see what could happen if Chrysalis and her still evil changelings managed to get a foothold at Canterlot High.

It was loosely inspired by this.

I originally planned to have the ending be really dark. But in the end I settled for a twist ending like the last one ^^

In case you didn’t notice, the comment you replied to was made nearly 2½ years ago, on a version of this image that was way smaller (since then, I reed the full res version and the old one got merged into it, with that comment coming along).
