My headcanon still is the implication I got from the original G5 movie, that Equestria and Twilight Sparkle and all of them happened so long ago that they’re now myths. They’re like Arthurian legend with the Elements of Harmony being akin to Excalibur, where people nowadays know that some of it is true but so much of it is trumped up or mythologized or lost to the sands of time. That there was no massive world-ending event, and the world just changed over time. It gels too, with why ponies would be so dismissive of Sunny and her dad’s G4 obsessions and why they’d have G4-themed toys: Sunny and her dad being obsessed with ancient history would only be a little off-putting but harmless, and it would be a popular genre to make toys and shows of. All jokes aside, I actually really dislike the whole “world went to crap in like a month because Opaline showed up and Twilight couldn’t handle being ruler of Equestria” thing they seem to have ultimately gone with instead: I joke about Twilight being a crap ruler because it’s fun, and I like Opaline as a character, but Twilight would have smeared a wannabe like Opaline all over the landscape and been back to Canterlot Palace in time for lunch XD

Jail? She’s the singular Queen of Equestria at the end of the series; she’s not gonna go to jail. Though maybe her union-busting ways got an angry mob after her and they gave her the Marie Antoinette treatment.
Sure, grimers are smelly. So is Twilight after 3 weeks of binge reading without showering and every locker room Dashie’s ever been in. It’s a match made in heaven :P

The Bulbasaur line also get fair bit of love (albeit largely due to being part of the first starter trio).
And most people who watched the anime love Koffing/Weezing and Ekans/Arbok (because of Jessie & James).

It will give absolutely filthy speeches about friendship and harmony after solving the friendship problem of the garbage worker or the sewer maintenance pony :P

Yep. Thankfully all the ponies and creatures she deals with live or work around garbage and sewers and are used to it. In fact, the garbage ponies actually prefer Twimer to the real thing. Twimer listens to their problems and helps them, while the real thing uses giant tortoises to break up their strikes and keep them below the poverty line and without a budget for safety equipment :P
