Maggie Joy’s love for My Little Pony inspired her dad to reach out to the parent company, Hasbro, and share her love of the toys.
The family did not expect to hear back - but Hasbro did answer.
A few weeks later, while checking the mail, one of their packages contained something extra special.
It was her dream to become a pony. So here she is transformed into a little pony

Yeah, I’ve read a bit. It all makes sense, would be just better if they answered different way though. But Lauren Faust replied to the girl after all the buzz and honestly it can’t be better than to be reassured and inspired by creator of some MLP herself.

the letter was sent WAY prior to g5. hasbro has a rule concerning fan suggestions where anything more than a nod is ignored, as people who get their ideas in the show might demand to be payed for their idea and hasbro doesnt want to deal with that (i still dont understand how they managed to make episode 100 despite that rule)

Yeah, and now that I’ve read the story, the letter was sent to Hasbro Studios (not just any Hasbro) and contained suggestions for FiM, while Maggie’s parents didn’t ask anything regarding tv show (if I could guess, it might be because Maggie loved all gens including G5 entirely) and might’ve sent their words to other address of Hasbro.
That’s a really emotional story. I can’t imagine the pain the family is going through right now. It’s stunning to see how the OP really resonates with them.

have you seen the old story of hasbro shredding a 6 year old girls letter she sent to tell them how much she loved mlp? even lauren faust responded
id love to believe hasbro did this but i have experienced things that tell me its unlikely. who knows, i could be wrong

More like Hasbro would want people to know they cared enough to do this.
And if we could choose, it’s better to not have a toy or response than to lose someone like this.
hasbro has a history of shredding letters and ignoring requests so im skeptical of the included story, especially since the eyes look hand painted and not like one of hasbros eye stamps.

it happened over ten years ago, i’m sure the girl is fine now. at the time it caused outrage across the fandom
