I forget a few times a year. My neighbor seems to forget a few times a month. It’s pretty common to forget the day or accidentally miss it for various reasons.
How do you “forget” to take out the trash? It is a weekly occurrence. Say that trash day is Monday, take it out Sunday night. How is that hard? Even if Monday would be a holiday and they picked it up on Tuesday instead that week, still, take it out Sunday night. It is not a task you forget to do. It is an annoyance that you know you have to set aside a small chunk of your day once every week to perform.
I usually forget it until I go outside and see the physical bins sitting there, but by then I’m already at risk of being late for work.
