There are occasions when it is. Someone stuck tight out on a tidal flat at low tide who drowns when the tides roll back in, for example. Or someone who gets stuck tight in a bog and then subsequently dies of exposure, hunger/thirst, wild predator attacks or hypothermia. Those are relatively rare, thankfully, but they do happen.
