After her ego-driven accident, her body never quite recovered correctly. So they kept her in a full hoof and wing cast, drinking through a straw in her nose; the doctors never got around to making a proper mouth hole.
Over time, everyone got tired of her quiet moaning and sobbing, so they moved her to one of the more isoated rooms of Ponyville Hospital. It was in severe disrepair and had poor lighting. But considering the patient couldn’t see or hear, what did it matter?
A long time ed, and “Bone Dust”, as the staff called her, became a easily forgotten fixture of the ward. A nurse, when they happened to on their checklist, would change her feed bag and diaper, and then they’d leave her be in the dark all alone with only the yellowing plaster and odorous padding as a companion.
This was a quick companion piece to my previous “Dustabuse” work[WARNING: rape]. I sort of have an obsession with using medical casting as sensory deprivation. It’s something I’d love to try in reality.
