Oh, this one. Unhinged theory time! Roseluck has a condition that doesn’t allow her to have foals, so she strives to help other ponies hook up and lives vicariously through them. The resulting baggage has grown to the point that the idea of a relationship for its own sake has become frightening. “Can’t have babies so can’t have a stallion.”

Yeah. Same here. My lovely spouse is my best friend, and always has been. We go everywhere together. Some of my coworkers go off on trips to other countries with just people of their gender for a “girl’s trip” or a “boy’s trip”. I just don’t get why anyone would want to do that without their partner.
That said, stable relationships are not great for comedy material and I think AdorkableTwilightAndFriends is doing an adorkable job with the relationships in these comics.
Because holy cow I see stuff like this every week at work and just can’t figure out what it is that people are looking for in relationships that doesn’t start with “Let’s be pals”.
I never understood this “we’re just friends” thing. The best relationships I’ve had are with friends and it’s evolved into something else. It’s even better if we are friends before we start dating, we are at least sure that we get along well before we start a serious relationship.
