Yeah, I know, I’ve seen that image, and I agree those LOVELY wings can be used this way - but as I said, HEADCANON. Wait, is this some kind of word that shouldn’t be used on this website? I was already twice told bad things just because I said headcanon. No, really, I’m just asking :) If we start to follow some character and think that every picture drawn is canon, then every pony in Ponyville is a murderer. Don’t get me wrong, please - I was just pointing other uses for the wings. And generally there are little (or none) roadspikes or however they’re called in Ponyville. :D

I don’t think it’s for jumping, but it can also be used that way - my headcanon is that it uses the wings for aerodynamics and being bucking fast, like our cute lovely Dashie works in the skies, Bopper works on the road :)
Not quite, Scoots uses her wings to propel her scooter. The Bugatti Veyron uses it’s wing to keep it firmly on the ground (and thus, more aerodynamic) at speed and to act as a massive air-brake to help it come to a stop very quickly.

She doesn’t, these wings are an aerodynamic feature, just like in Bugatti Veyron - they deposit when you’re going very fast to help with aerodynamics and also help with aerodynamic braking. :)
Of course, I could just be over-hyping Wheely, and she’ll disappear into the dark depths of Derpibooru’s forgotten memes, never to be seen again until some duck-of-an-op tries to bring her back.
The solution seems simple enough; we just need to get a known flash artist to make an animation with Wheely in it. Then, we submit it to EQD, and Presto!

Despite having a ton of s. Derpibooru has that atmosphere of a backwater community. We get news faster than EqD and MLB, but whatever starts up here is largely unknown until EqD and other parts of the fandom reports it. Much of the news and crap rumors we get are from places such as /mlp/.
What we really need is an R/C Wheely Bopper.

Whoever they are, they’re the unsung hero of our generation. Wheely stayed by our side through thick and thin.
When the EQG shitstorm was heading towards it’s climatic conclusion just before the release of the movie, Wheely was there.
When we were being flooded with blurry, grainy still images of EQG, Wheely was there.
