@mjangelvortex
I used to ship Soarin X Rainbow all the time, and even imagined myself as Soarin, but to be honest? I like the idea of them being bisexual.
Like I imagine if Rainbow and AJ have a kid, Soarin offers to be a donator or Rainbow a surrogate mother for Soarin and Thunderlaneβs baby.
Iβm a straight cisgender male but I have a lot of respect for LGBTQIA+ people and I love gay/lesbian ships as kind of a hobby of mine. Thatβs why I ship both my male oc and female OCs with Rainbow. I jut never got the hate some sectors of LGBTQIA+ have for simply shipping a guy with a girl, even if I personally donβt ship them myself.
I donβt ship Soarin and Thunderlane, but that was hilarious. Donβt assume romantic interest based on a single interaction! For all you know they might even be siblings. Not it this situation. Iβm talking in general. Of course Soarin and Dash arenβt siblings.
Anyone who subscribes to the βgay Soarinβ and lesbian Rainbow Dash thing at the same time is a hero that doesnβt wear a cape.
Iβm sorry but while Iβve softened up to the ship overtime, I would rather ship them as LGBTQIA because lord knows, Soarin is a cutie when heβs with a stallion as Dashie is with a mare.
@LightningBolt
The world could use more people like you who donβt assume, but it looks like we have different philosophies of art. The art we enjoyβand the conversations it createsβcan tell a lot about a person or a culture. I think conversations inspired by art are important. Art is expression, but it also prompts others to express. Art is dialogue.
@AddyLovestar
Itβs a silly comic, itβs not that serious.
@007Ben
Personally I always ascribe to seeing fictional characters (and people!) by default asβ¦nothing, ie, undetermined, I donβt assume sexuality without any outside knowledge telling otherwise, and with fictional, I find that calling characters straight/gay/lesbian over single interactions is silly, so you could say I assume and ascribe bi by default, as itβs just the most fluid and closes the least doors for fiction. For reality, itβs peopleβs choices to express, or even not expression, their sexuality, and people donβt have to, they can be unlabeled bi their entire life.
And for the record, Iβm straight, not even a hint of bi to me at all, but I still donβt assume anyone or any character is straight by default, tho it will be the most common sexuality in real life, probably followed by bisexuality, as erased and ignored as it is.
Donβt assume peopleβs sexuality, kids, but if you do, try to assume bi first I guess. Look Iβm a fucking band rpf fan and fujoshi, Iβm not innocent.
@mjangelvortex
Iβve got a soft spot for SoarinDash, but also one for FlutterDash. Iβm bi myself, so it always feels weird to see LGBT people bashing straight people/relationships. Likeβ¦ B is the third letter??? We just celebrating LGT now??? But I canβt really leave either bc itβs not like the community outside will accept me, yβknow? Sometimes feels like Iβve got both sides tryin to throw me outβ¦
@Turbotune
I think itβs a boss move too. Sometimes you gotta laugh and move on at these sort of things.
@007Ben
Potentially. I headcanon Dash and Soarinβ as bi myself. I donβt know if the artist intended for them to be in a polycule or not though. Probably not though, given the description.
The first features hearts in the background before weβre introduced to the twins. Therefore, Iβm not sure the twins are meant to be the perspective characters here in this art since the heart background is shown before they are.
As I see it, the clear interpretation here when breaking this piece down with actual artistic analysis is that RD and Soarin are both bi. Nothing wrong with a straight relationship, and bi people are no less a part of the LGBT community bc they have relationships that are βjustβ straight relationships (though these two also happen to have gay/lesbian relationships too).

Yes. No surprise. A majority of the worldβs population isnβt LGBT. I donβt see or understand what you mean by stigma though. Stigma sometimes refers to being disgraced or discriminated. And I donβt see how being heterosexual is a stigma when most people in the world are straight and many LGBT people are either presumed to be straight or were abused/bullied to pretend to not be LGBT.

Indeed
Glad its over!
Okay :(
Ah ok I was kinda confused lol
About the image being in the pageβs front.
Itβs nothing serious really.
What?

Also this. Underrated comment.
True, I suppose.
Doesnβt have to be poly. Could just be open.

Rainbow Dash And Soarin laughed it off together and demonstrated the truth!
Please donβt.
Scare? Comfort? Youβre not doing either of those things fto me. Youβre only confusing me, tbh.
I understand those downvotes might scare some people, I was only offering comfort.
