As for why Chrysalis would work in a Hooters-esque environment, well, it would be a perfect place for her to gain all the love she wants to eat. All those excited customers wanting to see a hot queen like her would be perfect nourishment for her. Plus, extra money to build up for a new kingdom. Stuff like that takes a lot of funds after all.
