Not so much. Revival Jam has an effect like this one that costs 1000 lifepoints to activate, but also has a card that allows you to force your opponent to target it, which makes it a good stone wall but one that bleeds your health which kind of defeats its own purpose. Egyptian God Slime has a very specific requirement of tributing a Level 10 Aqua monster with 0 attack, which basically forces you to use the specific card Metal Reflect Slime to summon it, or merging a Level 10 water monster with an Aqua monster, and there’s way easier ways to get 3000 attack monsters out than that: imaging going through that nonsense to get out a 3000 attack monster and your opponent cleans its clock with a normal-summoned monster XD
Meanwhile me who uses Raigeki, Fissure, Dark Magical circle, Amazoness Onslaught or even Compulsory Evacuation Device, Solemn Judgement or Torrential Tribute.
