Picture of a fictional erotic scenario made up of fictional species inspired by a mythological creature loosely based on a real creature, framed in a comedic fashion
Comments: “This is absolutely unrealistic and stupid and everyone who likes this is a terrible person”
go seek peace of mind, please, you are hurting yourself

Why would they have heat in the first place?
And have you been around animals who are in heat? It really is “brains off.”
Why would that ever be a thing? They have magic and potions; it shouldn’t even be a thing, even if it existed.
They should just say they want an excuse for them to act OOC and have their agency taken away, ‘cause even the males get affected when they smell a female in heat.
There would be no way they could have the society they have if they were still suffering from esterus.
They’re magically evolved or whatever; it’s ridiculous to think they still go into heat, and it’s a hentai cope to think otherwise.

Your argument assumes that “estrus always = brain off, instincts only.” And sure yes, there are a lot of artists that depict it that way.
But sapient creatures would most likely just treat their heat like humans do their period, the biggest difference just being the timing of it. Humans don’t just go into uncontrollable sex mode when it happens, and I don’t imagine ponies or other creatures would either.
@DEN_SMOG
What’s frustrating is that they’re trying to be all “gotcha I am factually correct!” when they can just come out and say “I just like what is pretty much biological rape on sapient creatures that rob them of their character.” You can just have them be slutty in the first place without robbing their agency. I don’t get why they want them to be like animals if you know what I mean.

Which just solidifies my point even more, honestly, especially with bat ponies being a thing.

There are some species of bats and mice that go through menstrual cycles instead of estrus cycles. I doubt that has anything to do with intelligence.

Let’s be honest, many people just want to see more cruelty and intrigue in this (already quite) cruel world.
And many people also like sex-starved mares and that make them look at characters from a children’s cartoon, lol.
Real horses, maybe; what does that have to do with sapient magical alien creatures from another dimension?
Dolphins don’t go into heat because of their intelligence, and MLPs are considered people; why would that even be a thing for them? Wouldn’t magic just erase that in the first place?

I’m glad that this part about horses is almost always not used in MLP. That would be very cruel.…Actually, your comment is the first mention I’ve seen of this in the MLP framework…
It also reminds me of an interesting video about horses that I watched recently. Yes, it’s not in English, but the subtitles seem to work well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9-j5qktO18
I understand that mares exhibit this behavior because the males are very territorial; so they mate with all the males in the herd to discourage them from attacking the foal, believing it to be their foal.
Mares being horny is really hot

Ah The Weaver, I certainly enjoyed his MLP drawings, too bad he left the fandom too early.
Weaver did manage to make a reference to it, many years ago.
