We don’t root for the team that beat us. To my knowledge it’s not the same as American football where you root for your conference or whatever; sides chosen by regional location is becoming outdated anyway.
We were simply out-skated and out-performed by the Oilers; I knew our only win was luck but it felt like something might’ve been held back. The team’s overall lineup thrives on D-men and absolute speed and pressing vigorous D-men on offense, and skilled handling and trick shots for setup… and especially breakaways. The Fast and Finns. But coaches have been meager to put that to good use; the last guy who recognized this was fired for allegedly harassing an ice girl.
@Chopsticks
Interesting, I would’ve thought Stars fans would be rooting against Edmonton more seeing as how they knocked them out twice in a row. But I guess I can’t fault you for rooting against a dynasty team as well.
Hopefully you guys can get a head coach that actually knows how to win (and knows how to not throw his franchise goalie under the bus).
