This was reported for Rule #1. We have spoken with the artist and they are ok with this work being here. I’ve added a tag for the artist to reserve their rights. The edit tag is to mark the image for our processes and is not any kind of statement of the value or quality of artist:proxy_boxy’s work. If you are interested, this is the process we follow when there have been claims of tracing. In the future, if you suspect an image was traced (including base used), please report it instead of publicly commenting. This helps avoid pointless drama for both artists.
@EmiliaStern
You do realize that they had permission from the OG artist to do this right? The whole thing was an art tribute. But you just can’t comprehend that can you? This whole “argument” is a new level of cognitive dissonance.
@NightStalker
They’re not one to one. The artist’s been doing daily drawings of Trixie for a month now, and their latest trend has been recreating album art. It looks like that piece from Yakovlev was used for one of 4everfreebrony’s tracks.
@EmiliaStern
That’s because this IS Yakovlev, it’s just a blatant trace of >>2242924
EDIT: “The artist got permission”, well then SHOW that permission. No mention of the original artist in the Tweet, this post, or the tweet calling me out.
