Laili, a mare so beautiful, that a war was fought to obtain her. 12000 men were sacrificed and 60 lakh was spent. (Which in an Indian numerical term for 100,000 so that is 6,000,000 rupee.)
Marengo, the horse of Napoleon Bonaparte. His bones (minus two hooves) are on display in the National Army Museum in Chelsea, London.
