This chapter was meant to introduce a very important character with a lot of baggage, as you could see… Amber Dawn was created to embody what Crystal Magic is all about — a core element for the rest of the story.
The song and art style were simply a way to soften the deeply negative aspects of her situation, alongside contrasting with what happened to her.
Little note, I imagined this song like “I’m looking out for you”, with her voice being similar to Izzy’s.
Imagine if you will you are royal adviser and you love your city more than anything. Suddenly that King of that city became evil and somehow it’s your fault. You try to advice with evil king but he didn’t listen and force you to be his servant like rest of citizens. Once the evil king is dethroned and you and rest are free. The citizens are mad at you and treat you like trash. Despite all that you still have hope and continue to be positive. That caught the attention of good princess and she give you a chance to redeem yourself and be that royal adviser again only to be kill by evil unicorn because you are in wrong place in wrong time despite that place it’s your own house.
