I never really been active in the “furry fandom” much honestly. (Aside from drawing some anthro stuff, and enjoying anthro artists. And some RP’ing) As surprising as that sounds.
I actually also like Animal Crossing, Pokemon, StarFox, Sonic, and Space Jam too. In fact, my “Skunksona” actually originated from a StarFox message board I used to go to where everyone would give themselves “fursonas,” or Lylatian OCs. Some people who did that weren’t really furries.
Truthfully, I didn’t know much about the furry fandom back then.

Furries and bronies seem nigh incompatible sometimes even though often furries start off as bronies or vice versa. Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Star Fox made me a furry along with Space Jam, and the rest is history. I also personally love Sonic, and wanted to do a full MLP vs Sonic crossover sports series on this with this artist, but they went to Japan and froze their commission list, and as such I gotta wait.
Which is weird, because alot of bronies are also Sonic fans. (Like me.)
I think the Sonic haters are only a small amount of bronies, but unfortunately they’re very outspoken.
Also, I don’t think Sega is aware of that. I Sega did do a survey years back in the G4 days, and one of the questions was what you’d like to see Sonic crossover with. One of the options was MLP.
If that happened officially, the online drama from both fandoms would of been amazing.

Yeah, didn’t they originally consider reusing the whole G4 cast originally at one point in leaked concept art?

It’s weird, I didn’t think both gens had competing fandoms now, though I some G1 & G3 fans hated G4, and some G4 fans liked to bash the old gens, so it’s nothing new.

It also made the comparisons to g4 worst i mean, that was always going to happen, but you had people upset the movie wasn’t just a big info dump, but what happened between generations.
Although leaked information suggest it was given to get worse and being back twilight

Oh I don’t hate G4, it’s fundamentally flawed but I feel like both G4 and 5 get too much hate from either side. Just mentioning G5 on the Subreddit can cause a literal flame war.
I feel like while I do have my issues with G5 and to a lesser extent G4, they could have been a million times worse. And honestly the worst thing about G5 was Opaline. I just couldn’t stand her and her stupid villain song.

I like the characters but I didn’t draw this, I just commissioned it. I dunno I just feel like people need to stop asking for G5 and 6 to be the next G4 because Hasbro has taken the soul out of it besides the IDW comics for G5 which explain why everything is a ponyocalypse.
I feel like fan projects need just as much love as G4 and 5 imo like TFH and stuff.
And people still enjoy say, old versions of Batman, Ninja Turtles, or Sonic the Hedgehog. People can still enjoy old generations too, it’s not hurting anyone.

I had another one of her and Rainbow Dash inflating a beach ball for Scootaloo and them to play with. She’s also got a bit of pudge in that too. Paula quickly became my favourite sisterly villager given she hosted my birthday once and hasn’t forgotten it since. Plus I love the pudgy girls.
I can’t find it now, but I 2D concept art in a completely different art style of the G4 Mane 6 that was considered for G5.

I think G4 is still good, but I agree G5 and the future gens should be their own thing.

Why do you keep drawing G4 characters though?
I’m sick of G4 and 5 tbh. I just want G6 to have nothing to do with either and instead be a full on reboot. Just let G4 and 5 die people.
