Compared to C-130J yeah they’re surprisingly quiet
My ears can hear the A400M upclose for long periods of times but not with the C-130J

An A-400 Atlas.
I see many of these. They are ginormous, and watching them land is awesome. Same with the Beluga.
They are surprisingly quiet for their size.
