The first Ghostbusters movie.
The ?herald? of the big villain told the Ghostbusters that the great destroyer (Gozer the Gozarian?) would take the form of the next thing that came into their heads. It being hard to “not think of a pink elephant”, their efforts to not think of anything failed within single digit seconds IIRC. However, the ’Buster in question tried to think of the most harmless (and kind?) thing they knew of. Something that could never hurt them.
And that is how we end up with the kaiju sized Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man that became part of their logo (at least in the cartoon, not sure about videogames or the sequel movies).
