Yeah, those baby bufogrens were just crawling on Applejack, licking her, holding her leg, and even nibbling on her tutu and flowers, while Rarity is facing off against one, and the mama bufogren is chasing Twilight and Pinkie because it looks like she’s about to lick them, too, while Fluttershy is hiding and Rainbow Dash just makes a slasher gesture with her thumb.

I somehow missed your comment- apologies! The bufogren and the style of tutus, as well as the whole scenario, were at the commissioner’s request. My headcanon is that Discord “invited” the bufogren to the stage because chaos. I don’t know exactly what the commissioner had in mind as to the reason.
@Mr.Myoozik
I appreciate the compliment! I do try to be show-accurate as much as I can.
@Background Pony #B826
Thank you so much! I really do enjoy deg outfits for various characters. It’s fun! The tutus in these are more of a collab between myself and the commissioner (they wanted the fluffy tulle tutus, for instance).
@Sapphire Star
Thank you for your hard work! I always love seeing your art. Also great job on the outfit designs, they’re always on point in everything you do.
@Eragor14
This is what the commissioner of the piece wanted. They didn’t say how or why. I suppose you can come up with your own theories (mine is that Discord just wanted to cause chaos in the middle of a ballet performance.)
In case you were wondering, I use Clip Studio Paint and everything is hand-drawn (that is, drawn with a tablet and pen and not using Flash or ToonBoom Harmony.) For these ballet-themed commissions I like to give the girls a bit of real-life ballerina musculature, rather than the more streamlined limb formation from the show.
@Background Pony #B826
Actually, that’s a bufogren, a large, sapient, frog-like creature with six eyes from “The End in Friend”. I wondered how that bufogren and its seven children ended up in that stage. Is this part of the show? And why are the skirts on the Mane Six’s tutus are so different?
@Eragor14
Nailing a show-accurate style is difficult in its own way - you need look no further than the early-fandom vector art that took time and practice to replicate the subtleties of the style. It’s also it’s own task to extrapolate that show style into poses, expressions, or characters that had not been depicted in official media while still remaining stylistically consistent with it.
Exactly. Making something like the flash style of EqG look not just show accurate but actually good takes genuine talent and hard work. In this case however it clearly is in service of either an autistic fixation or a niche fetish. Whatever, as long as the artist is fairly compensated.
@Eragor14
I don’t know exactly what your issue is, but it is immensely rude to downplay and ignore the work that went into the style in general or this piece in particular on the artist’s own image.
@Background Pony #2D05
I have no clue what ‘subtleties’ there would be. But then again, I also don’t care. And I don’t think you care either because you are using an anonymous . I never take anons seriously. I prefer talking to actual s with actual s.

Why would ‘nailing the EqG style’ be all that difficult? The original animation was literally made with Adobe Flash. Not exactly difficult to emulate that.
Most artists prefer to add more detail that the show could not accurately depict, frankly.
@Eragor14
It’s a $500 commission for some deviantart weirdo. Being nonsensical and slightly creepy is expected.
Either way fantastic work on the artist’s part. Sapphiregamgee is easily the best when it comes to absolutely nailing the EqG style.
I don’t really understand what is going on here. The Mane Six are wearing tutus…and are facing a giant frog…who apparently is spawning smaller frogs around it….
How did that giant frog even get there? Did Fluttershy bring it onstage? And why does Rainbow Dash look unbothered by all of that?
