American here: Dental work is expensive, and many insurance companies don’t cover it.
Pretty much this. Fillings can cost over $100 (each), and my last crown was $1,000.
Why doesn’t health insurance cover dental? Like my last Blue Cross agent said, “fuck you, that’s why.”
