normally they are originally scaled in true 1080p (exclusions would be some of the episodes from the earlier seasons that are encoded in 1080p but are really 720p because Hasbro fucked up) but I used waifu2x to do some noise/jpeg removal and upscale

Normally the screenshots from MLP episodes are upscaled at 1920x1080, but on some occasions, it would be upscaled at 3840x2160, like this image above for example.
